Asher, who was born in New York City on August 8, 1921, was a director and producer during the early days of television. His work included more than two dozen shows, including “Bewitched,” which he directed with his wife, actress Elizabeth Montgomery. He also directed over 100 episodes of the sitcom “I Love Lucy.” He died at the age of 90 after complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
